How to Join

Interested in singing with us? Come along to a no-obligation rehearsal! You’ll be warmly welcomed and one of our friendly members will show you the ropes. You don’t need previous singing experience or the ability to read music (although, of course, those do help) and you don’t need to know what ‘part’ you sing. Read about what to expect at your first rehearsal.

Where:

St Peter’s Church Hall, 1 Watling Place, Weston (opposite Cooleman Court, on-site parking.).

When:

Every Wednesday night from 7.30pm to 9.00pm. We take a break over the New Year period and currently we are using a semester format with a large winter break.

What to bring:

For your first rehearsal, just bring a readiness to enjoy yourself! If you decide to join, we’ll ask you to supply a black folder to hold copies of the music/words that we provide. When you’re ready to perform at a gig, you’ll also need to buy a uniform .

Rehearsal cost:

Your first three practice sessions are free. After that, we ask that you commit to becoming a member. You do not have to audition to join.

Membership:

If you decide to join, membership fees are payable by the term or annually. Our membership fees are dependent on costs and are consistent with those charged by other Canberra choirs. Our fees cover payment to our musical director and pianist as well as venue hire, insurance, copyright and music.
